Hi Red(?), part of making multi ethnique connection through literature and the summary that I came up with, all these different kind of books. We're talking about how students were striving to find identity and they're dominant cultures. So between native Americans, African American, Asian American, Pacific American, Mexican Latin American, Caribbean, Dominican American all of those. They're all struggling to find identity development, family expectations and the complexity of their heritage. My thoughts are, these books all show the struggle and understanding where you come from and trying to find your identity as a person. The question that I have for everyone is how would you get your students interested in reading the books flash story on other cultures. Thanks.
