Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Long Run has been rated 182 in the Classifications- the highest by any horse during the 2010/11 season. Other Champions include Hurricane Fly in the 2 mile hurdles and Sizing Europe in the 2 mile chasers, while for the third year running Big Buck's is the Champion Staying Hurdler. The ratings are compiled by the senior handicappers in Britain and Ireland and take into account everything including the three main festivals, at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown.

Carlton House, the hot favourite for next month's Investec Derby remains bang on course for the race after his latest piece of work on the Warren Hill gallop at Newmarket. Ryan Moore, who won last year's Derby on Workforce, is the man entrusted with steering what would be one of the most popular of all classic winners.
The Ed Dunlop trained Native Khan is on course to lead the opposition to the Queens's Carlton House in next month's Investec Derby at Epsom. The grey, who was third to the amazing Frankel in the 2,000 Guineas is set to sample the Derby Course's unique contours next week, with Dunlop reporting preparations are going well.
