I have been very impressed by the way you have embraced the material in the class and improved your writing skills. It is been a pleasure working with all of you and I hope you all have a great summer.
Welcome to week 14 of public speaking. This week we're going to read Appendix A in your textbook and participate in a weekly discussion forum. So we're not going to have any other assignments this week but this would be a really good time for you to go through all of your grades in the grade book and make sure that everything is updated up to this point and that you don't have any grades missing or anything like that. If there's something that doesn't look quite right, please email me ASAP so we can get that worked out. As usual I hope you all have a great week and let me know if you have any questions.
Welcome to week 12 of public speaking. This week we are going to start preparing for the interviewing activity so we're going to complete the interviewing for a Job Quiz which is worth 40 points and this is based upon the interviewing for job presentations. Within this time I will be sending you an email with your partner's name for the interviewing activity, and you'll need to get that information to them that is listed in the instructions. You will need to do this by the due date listed in the email or you will receive a 15 point penalty. I hope you all have a great week and please let me know if you have any questions.

If you have any questions please let me know and I hope you all have a great week.
Welcome to week 9 of public speaking. This week, we're going to prepare to give our persuasive speeches at our meeting on Saturday. Welcome to week 8 of public speaking. This week we're going to cover chapters 16 and 17 and start preparing for our persuasive speeches which we will give in 3 weeks. You're going to complete the persuasive speech outlining worksheet. So before you start this go to the speech instructions area and go over the instructions for the persuasive speech and this will help you figure out what you need to research for your persuasive speeches. I hope you all have a great week and please let me know if you have any questions.
Welcome to week 7 of public speaking. This week we will study chapters 12, 13, and 14, and learn about choosing our words and the use of visual aids. You will also get to watch the video of your informative speech and you will complete a 10 point self assessment. I know that some of you may not be looking forward to watching this video as you have expressed to me, but this really is the best way to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and this will help you just become better in the future with your public speaking skills. Please let me know if you have any questions and I hope you all have a great week.
Welcome to week 6 of public speaking. This week we're going to prepare to deliver our informative speech on Saturday. Remember, this is a mandatory meeting and you need to be on time to class as well. This week we're going to have to write an outline for our informative speech. Please don't confuse the outline with the outlining worksheet that you completed last week. You need to use the worksheet from last week to write the final outline. For more information about this please refer to the outlining instructions in the class. I hope you all have a good week and as usual, please let me know if you have any questions.
Welcome to week five of public speaking. This week we're going to start preparing for our informative speeches and it is really important that you listen to all of my audio lectures and you don't forget to complete the informative speech outlining worksheet which is due by the end of the week. This worksheet is going to help you organize your thoughts and then next week you will use the worksheet to prepare the final outline for your speech, and remember the outline is what you're going to use to deliver your speech to the class. As usual I hope you all have a great week and please let me know if you have any questions.
