beam screen, guided reading, flashlight
Hello April, I hope you're having a great day. This is a really great example of a guided reading. I'm just gonna gonna highlight some of the things that I saw and like. I like ___ Gail and her teaching and questions on some videos we've seen and watch in class. So I really enjoyed this but for this particular lesson she began with asking kids what they would do if the lights run out. They all said different things like get a flashlight or a candle and my favorite beam screen but this is a great introduction to the students to see where the story is heading. She then ___ different pictures throughout the book. This gives them the opportunity to make predictions on different events in the story. A picture can really say a lot without even do any work. Gail asked questions about the pictures to guide the students gonna see with the.
