Hi, I am the keyboard player for Sparkies Jazz. I shall be updating my phlog from the rehearsal rooms, gigs and events of Sparkies Jazz as well as musing over various other things that take my fancy.
The semitone shift ending, used very commonly to end ballads and other emotive songs.
The famous ending from the tune Take The A-Train. Often played at the end of other tunes too. Watch out for it.

This was me having a practice/experiment a while ago, playing the Bill Evans' tune Peri's Scope in two different styles. There are a fair few gaffs but I was trying things out.
