Hi, this is Randall. One of the challenges I face is trying to help students become self-aware of the problems that they have. In other words, often students don't see their problems and then feel that everything is ok and they end up with having tremendous gaps in their learning, and it's very difficult to go back and fill those gaps especially when you're not self-aware. One example is that a student might be able to say "I study . . ., I read . . . , I go . . ." However, when you put it into the third person, the student still says, "She go, she work," and they drop the "s" and so that is one area. In addition, often students struggle with forming questions. For example, "Do she go?" (instead of, "Does she go . . . ?" and so they make mistakes and so as a student you have to become self-aware and recording your voice might help you identify and recognize these problems.
