I believe communication is key to success. Working as a classroom teacher for over a decade and currently as a high school counselor I believe communication is key. It is so important for educators to communicate with students and parents to create a common goal and give students every opportunity to succeed. Over the years we as educators have always trying to brainstorm ideas of different ways to communicate with parents. It seems it's always a struggle to talk to the parents we need to talk to. We have so many ways to communicate with parents now. Phone calls emails text messages and now I've learn podcasting as another form of communication. As a high school counselor I can see podcast as a tool to communicate information just giving about announcements upcoming events and important information. This podcast could also be conveyed to the school website to parents about.

Students our technology Nate(?) is they pick up an IPhone iPod or go to a new website and navigate with ease(?) didn't(?) the necessary steps in the Twenty First Century classrooms. Students can perfect writing(?) skills by creating digital stories(?) or writing blogs they can use social networking through education the appropriate sites(?) where students communicate with teachers and other students check grades and view calendars of upcoming events as well as collaborate with others and share what they have learned and the site set(?) up by there.

Although I think that the iPadio(?) is a pretty cool system I just can't see myself using it for you know that that teaching elementary school. Although some of the students do have cellphones it's not enough that expect them to know how to use it or even know what to do with it. I would like to be able to use it with parents though I were to be able to give parents at the beginning of the year information on how to use it. It would be easy for me to leave messages about the upcoming events or you know test and things along those lines. I would definitely use it to contact parents but for me to use this to work with students I don't see it being usable.
