Hello fourth and fifth grade parents. As you have read in the class newsletter our field trip to living history farms in Des Moines is scheduled for Friday May tenth. We will be leaving school at eight thirty and returning around three thirty. So if your child is not ride the bus please be at the school on time to pick him or her up. Snack luncheons and snacks are being provided for the students so there's no need to bring food or drink. IPads cameras or any had hand held games are allowed so please make sure your child understand that these things are their responsibility to keep track up because we will be walking outside please have your child wear tennis shoes no flip flops and pants or jeans no short please. They may also want to bring a jacket. We're looking forward to this wonderful opportunity to see the Iowa in Game tribal villages that we've been studying in Island History class as well as the pioneer farms in town. Thank you.

Boys and girls this week we're going to be celebrating Dr Seuss's birthday. On Monday we're going to have mixed up Monday and this is where you guys can wear your clothes all mixed up. For example you can wear your shirt backwards or inside out and you can even wear clothes that don't match that day. On Tuesday we're going to have top hat Tuesday. You can wear your favorite hat to school on that day. On Wednesday we're going to have wacky Wednesday and you can wear your silly socks and we'll spend most of our school day walking around in socks but don't forget your tennis shoes because we'll still be going out for recess and we have PE. On Thursday we're going to have oh the places you'll go Thursday. That day you can wear your favorite college t shirt or sweat shirt. On Friday we're going to celebrate Dr Suess's birthday by wearing our favorite color to school. This week is going to be so much fun and I can not wait to see what you guys are going to wear.

Hello, this is Ms Priesz and today we have four 6th grade students who are going to be talking to us about the activities they've been doing this week in physical education class and they're here to tell us how much fun we've been having and what they've learned. Hi I'm Emma and I'm going to be telling you about Team Handball. I think Team Handball is really really fun because I got to play with my friends and physical education. Team Handball was basically like basketball. Only a student ___. You have teams one white one blue. When you have the ball you have to try and pass it to them in under 3 seconds or less. Otherwise you have to go into penalty box where you sit there for about 2 or 3 minutes. I hope that we play Team Handball so much more in physical education. Thank you Emma. That was great. Next.
