Hello Everyone- Welcome to Week #3 of ADE 689! Thank you for a terrific discussion during Week #2. I really appreciated our conversation about research ethics and ethical considerations. This week we will turn our attention to quantitative research, which involves the use of statistics. I posted a few videos in the Week #3 folder about quantitative research- one to make you laugh and the others to make you think. We will discuss issues related to qualitative research in our Week #3 discussion. The discussion First Posts are due by 5pm this evening, and the follow-up discussion will run from 5pm Monday-10pm Wednesday. Quiz #1 was due on Saturday. It covered research ethics and APA style. APA style will be strictly enforced in this course, and you will need to use it for your comprehensive exam. I think many of you are preparing to take the exam either this semester or next semester. (This semester's question will be been posted in the ADE Majors site on Blackboard on September 16.) Quiz #2 is due on Saturday. This quiz will cover the readings and discussion work due this week. I have office hours this week on Tuesday from 8am-9am and on Wednesday from 8am-12pm. Please feel free to stop in to see me, call or send an e-mail. Please contact me if you'd like to arrange a time to meet outside of my weekly office hours. Thanks again for a great Week #2. I look forward to our discussion this week. Take care!
