Hi this is Randall. One of the most interesting aspects of learning a new language in a culture basically deals with body language and how it is different from country to country. Now this might sounds simplistic; it might sound very very simple in nature. However, if you ask students how they count from 1 to 10 (with their fingers), watch how a student from a different country uses their fingers to count. Now, if you get together a group of Japanese, Koreans, Chinese and students from other countries, you'll noticed that counting from 1 to 5 (with their fingers) is probably very similar, but once you start counting 6 7 and 8, you'll notice that their fingers change. So try this ask different students from different countries to show how they count from 1 to 10, and you will have a new experience in cross-culture communication and learning.
A new experience to be had! This episode brought to you by a random sentence generator! "Castlevania Lords of Shadow" rents the monochrome enterprise. "Chaos Rings" ices an unbiased hash beneath the closet. "Call of Juarez" pinches the orbital marriage and Japanese and American sales charts synonymous penguin bars a wrapper. Also fan mail! Thanks! (Oh also, Tommy Lee Jones advertises "The Boss" not "Georgia")

What, maybe from the start, you know, what did you expect from the event and how did it go. Yeah so, I didn't have much idea of what to expect. It's the first time I sort of help coordinate a, a hack(?) day in my life and so and conferences before. I think it was really just a start of the day. I've got quite scared when I asked people to put their hands up they say they have been to a hack(?) day or an open government date related event before. And I don't think I saw any hand would go up. So I think for all of us it was a, a new, new experience. But it, but it worked out really well by the end of the day. We generated some really interesting things. I think we, we start a good head start on at the beginning of the day just getting our.

A very good morning on this Sunday it is about 10:00am here in London. The weather is very overcast and it looks like it could rain. Haven't done an Arcadia(?) blog in a few minutes. Life has just been incredibly busy for me. I'm moving to Sweden in less than 5 weeks and I really need to get my act together cos I've still got so much to do mainly sorting out everything I own cos obviously I can only take so much with me. The plan is just to put it into 3 bags and then ship it over some time in October but yes moving to a new country a very new experience I've been travelling many times but never actually lived in another country permanently I have actually resided in another country for a while but not actually live there and become a resident.
