I am NOT speaking from a position of moral authority with today’s talk. This is not a “sermon” of any kind. I simply want to pose an idea to you, that is a core belief of mine: that morality is NOT derived from GOD or RELIGION.

Today is opening day of Major League Baseball, and my beloved Boston Red Sox will take on the Texas Rangers at 4:05 PM EDT this afternoon when Jon Lester goes against CJ Wilson. This marks the TRUE start of springtime here in New England, despite the fact that an early spring snow storm has blanketed my area in 3 inches of snow. PLAY BALL!!
