Hello everyone and welcome to topic 11 of the DC ITQ. I hope you're still feeling creative because this topic continues from the last with lots of creative tools for you and your learners to use. We'll show you lots of resources that you can use for quizzes, reminiscence activities and more. The important thing is that your learners are having fun - they'll be picking up new skills without realising it. Everyone loves getting a card and learners are always impressed by e-cards. So in this topic you'll practise creating an e-card. There are lots of websites which offer this facility so you'll be able to fit something that suits the skills and interests of your learners. Following the success of your Desert Island Disks quiz in the last topic you'll need to create a timeline quiz on any topic you fancy. Make your quiz as interesting as possible by including images, video and weblinks. But remember copyright restrictions - you can't simply steal things from the internet! As usual there's a forum conversation to contribute to - this one is continuing to think about quizzes and how you run them with groups of learners. Have fun!

Hello everyone and welcome to topic 10 of the DC ITQ. I'm sure we've all been on training courses where a tutor or lecturer stood at the front of the room and talked for an hour while we gradually lost the will to live. So you can appreciate how much better it is to have fun and interesting activities for your learners. We saw right back in topic 1 how you can give learners a chance to practise simple skills while having fun with some Google tools. We're going to expand those ideas in this topic by looking at some ways to create interactive learning materials and quizzes. This topic includes some creative tasks so its a chance to really get those creative juices flowing and making something that your learners will find fun and interesting. You do need to use some PowerPoint skills to complete the task so if you've not used PowerPoint before you might find it a bit challenging. You also need to think about copyright in this topic. Some people think that if an image, video or music is on the internet then it's free for everyone to use. I'm afraid that's not the case. Everything that is published is still owned by its creator. So unless they've given permission you can't use it yourself. There are websites offering free images and music but do take care to read the small print. You can also use any images you create yourself and packages such as Powerpoint often include free clipart images. I hope you enjoy getting creative in this topic and have fun creating a fabulous quiz for your learners.

Hello Avery ___ I hope you're having fun and relaxing summer filled with friends running around outside reading laughing and eating popsicles while you is have been having fun. I have been going back to school and learning how to be a better teacher. I'm very excited to try some new things in our therapy this school year.
