Good morning everybody today we are going to be reading about a huge oil spill that happened in 1989 in Alaska. Now I know that no 4th graders here in our group were even born in 1989 but right now there is also a huge oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. You were witnessing this awful environmental disaster and watching as the oil company and our government try to clean up the water and save the marine mammals(?) and fish.
