Tags: business communications, interviewing for a job, quiz
Welcome to week 13 of Business Communications. This week we're going to learn about interviewing for a job and we will take a short quiz. The quiz is based on the presentations, so I would suggest looking at the presentations while taking the quiz. So I would pull the presentations in one browser and pull the quiz up in another browser. I consider this unit to be one of the most beneficial in the class. If you don't know how to interview properly how will you get a job and isn't that why we're all in college. I hope you all have a great week and please let me know if you have any questions.

Welcome to week 12 of Business Communications. This week we will cover chapter sixteen and complete a discussion. We will not however, have a written assignment. I want you to look at the portfolio instructions instead and start working on that. This will take you some time as you will be working in Google sites and there is a little bit of a learning curve. But I do have detailed instructions online for you. Please let me know if you have any questions and I hope you all have a great week.

Welcome to week 11 of business communications. This week we will write the cover letter for the resume that you wrote last week. The cover letter is very important as it shows you have professional writing skills. If there are any spelling or grammatical errors many prospective employers won't even consider you for an interview. The great thing is you can write a letter for this class and then use it as a template in the future. I hope you all have a great week and please let me know if you have any questions.

Welcome to Module 5 of business communications. This week we're going to take Exam 1 which is over chapters one through six. The questions are multiple choice and true/false, and each question is worth two points. The exam will be open for one extra week if you need to take it late, but you will receive a ten point penalty. This week you will also be able to complete a survey for five extra credit points. Extra credit can certainly be helpful to you in the future. So I highly encourage you to complete the survey. As usual, I hope you all have a great week and please let me know if you have any questions.
