Hi, it's Ms Price here and I wanted to talk to you a little bit about free fall. This unit, unit 2, you're gonna be learning about how objects respond to the force of gravity which is falling. Now what you need to remember is that falling really isn't about falling. Falling is really about being pulled to the center of the earth. Since the earth is the nearest object to everything around us because we are on the earth we have to think about the fact that there is that gravitational pull that pulls to the center of our planet and that way everything is pulled to the center as well and the only thing that stop this from continuing to move to the very ideal center of the earth is the dirt(?) around the or the crust of the earth and so when an object falls it's really being pulled at a constant rate and this constant rate is an acceleration of gravity and has a measurable value of 9 point 8
