This I believe. Parents matter in school. Teachers can not do it alone. Especially with so much over crowding in the classroom going on now. I'm surprised that the number of parents that feeling it's the teacher's job alone to teach their children. As a parent of young school age children myself I know their teacher can introduce the materials help guide their understanding in the material and they can help them advance with it but if there's a problem or delay it is my job as a parent to get involved and assist in whatever way possible. Even if there's not a problem or delay for my children it's my job as a mother to discuss the school day with my children and to know what they are learning. It shocks me that some of my friends that are extremely involved in the children's lives outside the school leave the teaching just to the teachers. This past year I talked Pre K.
