honest first impressions recorded from the road as we run into Rondonia, Brazil. With only 90 days on our visa and one of the most challenging sections laid out in front of us we´d better run!

After four days on the trail, Dave updates us on the wonderful hospitality he has received from Canadians, reviews bear safety tips, talks about the weather (of course), and shares an emotional moment when he reflects on how far he's come since his serious concussion a year ago. This is not a thirty second CNN sound byte. Dave felt chatty after a great nights sleep at Premier Lake Provincial Park. So, sit back and relax as he muses at this juncture with 2,600 miles still before him.

Good morning this is Dave Hamilton at Formby Golf Club for day 2 of the Brabazon Trophy. After more than 13 hours of action in yesterday's opening round which began in calm conditions that saw a testing wind move in Nick Marsh from Yorkshire leads on 2 under par 70 from a group of 7 players on 71. That meant that only 8 players in the 150 strong field broke par underlining how tough conditions were on a course where shots can easily be lost if you stray from the straight and narrow. Marsh the 18 year old boy international from Huddersfield had 4 birdies on his card. Among those on 71 are internationals Nathan Kimsey from Woodall Spa and Wiltshire's Jordan Smith the former coming home in 31 strokes after being 4 over par through 10 holes.
