Well good evening dishwasher is running in the background it might be a little noisy here in my kitchen. But making my very first iPadio(?) broadcast and I wanted to talk a little bit about how I think this could be use for not using a blended learning environment and I think anytime you can hear somebody else's voice along with their message. That it can helps to convey clear the meaning that the speaker is trying to get. So I think having a tool like iPadio(?) which allows you to use your cell phone or any telephone could make a audio file and how it'd be post to the web and then you can get it and share it if you need to with the other members of the class or or as a teacher students and it would be a good tool to use. This is pretty

Good morning Brenda. This is Exploring(?) Featured(?) Group. This is my attempt in using iPadio(?) to communicate with our group through discussion board using a pod cast. I often find that connecting with people who are auditory learners is so different than people who can connect us to text and visuals. So challenging myself to be able to present information through this medium where I am simply speaking and others are hopefully going to gain some information from what I ___ about is an interesting challenge for me. I'm very visual and for me to put a chart together with numbers and graphs and lines and arrows toward screen shots and things of that nature is.

Hi this is Abby Dugald speaking. I'm excited to be using iPadio(?). I ___ could see myself using it in the classroom or going to learning experience. I like the idea that Nancy has ___ about using the phone cast to record questions for test assessment ___ special needs. I also would use the iPadio(?) to send messages ___ about updates. I currently mainly ___ every week since they update of what's going for the week. I think the phone call is more personal and I think that it might work very well in the classroom. Thank you.

There are so many uses for this in education. One as a teacher I could use it to comment on student's digital work. I can talk while I'm looking at it and then email them the link so they can hear my comments. In class I could use it as exit tickets. Students could summarize what they learned about XYZ and then send me that message. I could also use it with younger students for fluency practice. They could read into the phone and then we could track their progress over time. In the foreign language class students could have mock conversations in their foreign language and save them to monitor progress overtime. Special Ed teachers could read test questions into the phone and then save them as a file for the students to listen to. And finally, students could leave each other feedback on a Wiki.

I have downloaded iPadio and I'm making my first phone cast. This is Barbara Knab and I absolutely can see the benefits in blended learning. Not only for the teacher to give directions or a welcoming message but for students with questions. I would be very interested in formative assessment piece and imagine that the LOTE departments would love this tool for students to be able to hear themselves speaking in another language. That's the end of my phone cast.
