Latest Broadcasts
Hello, my name is Damaris Nolletti and this is my first ever podcast. The only experience I have had thus far with podcasts is at my summer job. A co worker of mine would download broadcasts of this American Life and we would listen to hours of it as we pulled weeds or planted beans. The concept of a podcast is one that amazes me and I think that podcasts will only grow in popularity; at least until the next new technology comes out. Assuming that podcasts are all the reage when I become a teacher. I could see my self recording lectures if I'm teaching in the upper grades so that students could go back and listen to the important parts over while studying for tests. Podcasts could prove very helpful in the classroom.
The project has enabled mentored support as a strategy to introduce a range of new technology in our workplace and for the purpose of adult learning. I have learned new words, concepts and applications and with increased and continuous exposure to these I can see some of the potential realized, the Elluminate session on the 9th of November which is particularly helpful also as a morale booster and the infinite patience of the mentors must be reaching legendary status. I believe the mentors' support is vital to the project.

Why hello there, this is Daniel Lai, editor of the Chelsea Standard and Dexter Leader broadcasting to you live on this Friday afternoon from my office in Saline Michigan. Doing this with a new technology called iPadio(?) which is an application that the Apple iPhone and the Motorola Droid(?) has recently acquired. It basically allows journalist to go out into the field and broadcast interviews live using the phone as a microphone. Therefore in the next coming weeks I'll be experimenting with this technology and talking to people on events either attendees or the people who put on the event and hopefully posting their audio interviews through our Facebook and Twitter pages and eventually the heritage dot com website. It's a lot of fun trying to experiment with this stuff and we're looking forward to a lot more as our new digital first initiative rolls out from our parent company, JRC. I look forward.
