Good afternoon. Welcome to our first lecture of your teaching method court. Before we begin the practical borrow D scores that is the actual method you will use as teachers in the classroom. I would like to ask you a few questions. When feature and grade ___ scientist are in your class room would you recognize them and help encourage them. When someone ask the next Picasso or Marie Curie who is important his or her schooling would he or she name you? Do you think that teachers in general are able to help scientific or artistic genes develop their gift. These questions are very important for you as future as future teachers to consider. First of all the help desk sponsor these questions I think we have to separate the Arts and the Sciences. Why do you think I wanna know this? Pia(?). Well

Hi students you've now reached the reading center where you'll be reading a novel for the day. 20 minutes of the day and after the beep you will rotate to this small learning group. First today you're gonna take your SS score that you've taken on the computer. You are gonna take that or manage your ___ score website you'll find the novel that is on your grade level with your reading interest as well. You are gonna read silently 20 minutes to yourself and once you are finished before rotating and will take your reading log and log for the day. On this the first one you're going to write that you're reading. The next step is to write the pages that you gain for today and the page that you ended on. With that in the left hand corner you're going to take the number of pages that you read that they and circle that. You can keep a good eye on how many pages you're reading daily. After that you're gonna write a short summary of importance something that I can tell what happened that day in your read. I have read.

Hello my name is Ben Ralston(?). I believe we need to change our standardized testing in the state of West Virginia. Almost everything we do in schools today revolves around the West test. The very beginning of the school year we spend at least a day or two talking about scores of the West Test and analyzing the West test data and how our students score on West test and how we can correct our short comings on the West test. I'm not saying that standardized testing is not a useful tool. I believe it can be a useful tool. We have to change the meaning of the West test. Right now the test means a great deal to our schools and our teachers but ultimately there's not been a great deal to our students. The reason for that I believe is there is.

For as long as I can remember I struggled with Math. I always excel pretty much everything else that I attended. So my failure to grab(?) basic Math skills always made me discouraged. I couldn't even do basic fractions as a high school student. Even though I took advance classes and everything else ___. It wasn't until I got to college that I met a teacher who encourage me and help me succeed in Math. When I started my freshman year in college I had to take a remedial Math course because my ACT(?) score in Math was so low. I rescended(?) having to be in this class because at the same time that I was taking this course I was also taking an advance level English course and I thought that it wasn't fair to be taking a remedial course. The class ended of changing where that I viewed Math and teaching forever. My instructor used many different methods and hands on activities to help us grab(?) the skills. He encourage us to try different approaches to problems

Numeration(?) zero. Over the past 9 years scientist have tag over 450 turtles at Turtle Island. Tagging(?) turtles is a way for scientist to identify the turtles while scientist are studying them. It also helps to keep data organized specially if there are lots of animal being studying. In Math they use something called the place holder to make sure numbers all stay organized and in their proper place when dividing. That place holder number is zero. Zero help keep everything in it's proper place. Zero it's a funny number, it means nothing, nada(?) zolts(?). So why do we have the zero anyway? You see it's everywhere on a calculator and telephone keypad on score boards it's even on speedometer. Zero miles an hour means you're standing still. In Math zero
