Hi this is Cristina Chonka with my 321 reflection on the 2011 NMC Horizon Report. 3 of the emerging technologies contained in the Horizon Report that I found to be of most interest are cloud computing, mobiles and game based learning. I was also interested in the open content and learning analytics and loosely interested in the personal learning environment. Cloud computing and mobile are considered quote on quote near-term horizon technologies which means that within the next 12 months, it is likely that they will enter the mainstream for school implementation. There are already a great deal of schools using cloud based or internet based applications and tools. Google apps comes to mind.
