There's no place for losers in our culture. And more than that be prepared and work to reach your goals and the follow outcome is not positive for that. So many times our children learn early on that they have a zero chance to be in the best and the best is what we want so one even try. I think kids who have so much potential that they have had the joy of learning so completely out with them. They no longer contribute to the best getting.

This is Betsy Landers and I believe that music and the arts are a very important part of childhood education. Children who were exposed to music and the arts are generally happier more creative and seem to be more disciplined in their study. I believe that taking music out the curriculum is a huge mistake. When school budgets are cut the first class to be eliminated are usually the music classes band and choir. Learning music teaches a child to count to listen to participate in a team. To work together for a common goal. It teaches them to practice alone or with someone else and to perform. Band and choir are both team sports and have the same effect for some kids that sports do for others. Both band and choir functions as support groups for so many other school ___

I believe that we need to make nutrition and fitness a top priority in this country. I also believed in that this needs to come from our parents along with the educational system. We as a nation need to really focus on helping the obesity issue throughout America. Right now 50 percent of our adults in America are obese and this problem continues to grow in our children. We asked the question what are we doing about it at home. What are we doing about it on school and throughout our communities. I will think that we need to take to full by the horns. And start trying to reduce our obesity statistics. Obviously this needs to start at home and need to do a better job of educating our children about nutrition and fitness concepts. Parents need to start informing their children about the importance of active movement in getting their kids involved in activities that burn calories and get the body moving.
