In this Conversation, I have briefly reviewed the current status of the Android operating system with the help of two articles from CNET which you can find here. http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19736_7-20012566-251/the-android-era-from-g1-to-ice-cream-sandwich-and-beyond/?tag=mncol;3n
You're right Jillian being able to record news for parents would be ideal it would be embedded to ___ phone when you record it and they got deliver to the phone that idea I like maybe you can contact iPadio and see if they can improve their system to actually broadcast it cell phone although if you actually broadcast or text their parents the link to the cell phone many parents have the ability to connect to the internet through the cell phone so they will be able to listen to it on iPhone or in Android devices. But good idea Jillian. Thank you.

Hello and welcome to this Six Minutes Strategist pod cast. This is the Six Minute Strategist Eye Piece for for the 20th of October 2011 entitled "Can you broadcast to the world?". If you like listening to audio and you like podcasts – you will love ipadio – this application enables you to broadcast to the internet through your phone, tablet or PC – simply and quickly. Imagine, just open the App on your smart phone, press the record button, confirm your pin and record. When you are finished press publish. The audio content goes to your ipadio microsite and the audio content is automatically converted into text. That is cool but then the broadcast is then automatically sent over to your own blog, to Twitter, to Facebook and a number of other social media properties. These include an iTunes feed, Tumblr, Blogger, Posterous and Live Journal. The social broadcast needs a one time set up on the ipadio site and the text conversion does need checking an minor editing for spelling and unusual words. However, the ability to repurpose content so fast and with social media automation is a great breakthrough for me. What does it cost? Well for consumers it is free. The set up takes about 10 minutes and the application use is totally intutitive. It works on either Mac or PC, iPhone or Android and the iPad. I am certainly going to use it. Check out the audio below. This was one of my first broadcasts trying out the software. You can also find the audio on my ipadio microsite here. If you like this please RT. Six Minute Strategist Eye Piece 18th October 2011, come and join the community at http://jbdcolley.com Is Siri as good as it seems? I have been trying to make up my mind whether to consider an upgrade to an iPhone 4S. A conversation with a technologist friend today has convinced me its is worth a closer look. The camera, speed of iOS5 (which I have now on my 3GS) and the screen upgrade are taken as given. The application which is really grabbing my attention is Siri. Techcrunch have published an excellent article weighing up Siri as an application and comparing it to Android, which you can read here. The great thing is that Siri is an application for humans where as the Android application is more suitable for Robots – and as Techcrunch point out – there are not too many of them buying phones! You can find a great article from Search Engine Land here which compares Siri and Android side by side. This is a good summary and learning piece for understanding Siri’s capabilities. My final piece regarding Siri is a little learning tip, kindly provided by Mashable, How to Teach Siri To Tweet! This is a simple step-by-step guide to setting up your iPhone 4S to enable Siri to send Tweets to Twitter on your behalf. Looks dead easy and a lot of fun! If you like this please RT. Makings a day-long example for teachers. Kind of miff'ed that the Android app is not available this morning, so all is being done via the 866 call-in number today. Boo.
