Hello Everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful week off last week and enjoyed the Thanksgiving Holiday. I am thrilled to see you all working in your small groups teaching your lessons from your Micro-Teaching Lesson Plans. By now you should have posted your lesson plan, a description about how you will teach your lesson to your peers, and also the actual teaching materials for your peers to learn about the lesson. Each lesson should take approximately 15-20 minutes, so please make sure you have enough information available for your peers, but not too much information. We all have a busy week these final weeks of our course, and we want to make sure everyone has time to participate in each lesson in their small group. I have noticed some files are available through file exchange and some are available through the discussion board, so please make sure you check both areas in the small group site. Please also remember that by the end of your discussion period you should have given your peers both a short program evaluation and a short assessment. These can be very brief, but please make sure you put in some sort of assessment for your peers and some sort of evaluation for your peers. You should probably post those by tomorrow morning at 8am to give your peers enough time to look at them. The sooner you can post them during the follow-up discussion period, the better. Thank you again for your hard work this final week of our discussion! I know it is one of our most interesting and challenging weeks, and it is wonderful to see the various ways you have chosen to teach your micro lessons for adults. As I mention previously, in the future you will be taking at least two more courses about adult education methods where you will become masters in the teaching of adults. So this week get your feet wet and have fun. In addition to our discussion this week, we do have Personal Journal Entry #9 due. It is posted and ready for you to submit anytime between now and 11:55pm on Saturday. After that, on Monday, we have two additional assignments due- the final two assignments for the semester. We have the last of our papers; the article critique, which I explained will be strictly scored for APA style and grammar, much like our initial paper- the Adult Education Positionality Paper was. So, please be very careful with APA style guidelines and with grammar and format in that Article Critique paper that is due by 11:55pm on Monday. Also, due on Monday is your Final Personal Journal Entry. It’s a reflection on the course. The questions will be ready for you on Saturday morning at 8am. So you can turn in that Personal Journal Entry any time after 8am on Saturday, and you can turn in your article critique anytime between now and 11:55pm on Monday. As always, please feel free to post any questions or concerns on the “Ask the Instructor” discussion board. I do have office hours tomorrow, which is Wednesday, from 8am-12pm. Please feel free to contact me via telephone or come in for a visit, if you have any questions or concerns about the course. Part of your Personal Journal Entry this week is to do a grade check. Please run a grade report or look in your grade book and check all the scores you have received in the course. I want to make sure everyone gets the correct grade in the course and that there are no surprises. So please add up your points in the course. Take a look at what score you are likely going to get and ask me any questions if you think an assignment has been scored incorrectly or unfairly. I am very open to talking to you about your scores in the course, so please don’t hesitate to contact me either tomorrow during office hours or via your Personal Journal Entry. I will have office hours next week as well, on Tuesday morning from 8-9am, and those will be my last office hours of the semester. Thank you again for all of your hard work this semester and for you wonderful discussions this week. I look forward to participating in the rest of your discussions which are open until Wednesday night at 10pm. Thanks everyone and have a nice week!

Hello Everyone! Thank you for a terrific mock qualitative research discussion this week. I have really enjoyed reading you research questions and interviewing questions. I think you are doing a great job developing as qualitative researchers. I know we can just discuss the principles of qualitative research but I thought it would be more interesting for you to actually conduct some research and you’ve really done a great job. I did post another reflection question today on your group discussion boards if you get a chance to answer it and think through the issues I presented that would be great the discussion board is open today until 10pm this evening. As you know next week you have a big assignment due- your draft literature review. That draft should be in really good shape when you turn it in the better it is in terms of being done the better my feedback will be for you and more useful that feedback will be for you as you prepare complete your final version of the literature review. Next week's discussion will actually be a peer assistance discussion, so that you can help each other as you work through putting together that draft literature review. I have created the guidelines they’ll be up and available to you on Friday at 5pm. Basically, you will be doing a very brief first post and then helping each other answer any questions or concerns that remain regarding the creation of that draft literature review. This week, in addition to our discussion, I ask you to complete a research journal entry. It’s basically a reflection on what you have read and learn and done during the first half of the semester. Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. Have a great weekend!

Running the length of South America for its Wild places and Wildlife - we run into VENEZUELA!!! (not Brazil as dave says, a cold snap seems to have gone to his brain!). We talk about running through Roraima state, a tricky last night in Brazil with thunderstorms, and reflections on 80-day run through Brazil...
Ride with Dave Schenck on his three miles to the finish line at Antelope Wells, NM. It takes him 16 minutes to get the to end. There are long pauses as he contemplates his incredible journey. And you will hear his reflections as he pedals, a little out of breath in the 100+ degree F heat, towards the finish line.
Class welcome back to our next protest. This unit unit 3 we've been talking about rates and re shields and similarity. This protest was talk us meanly on similarity. Now to to your up back you'd much recall object are call similar if they have the same shape and are uniformly skilled either enlarging or by tricking. The advantage are got a lot of new words and may head been well computing for was definitely is that you have the exact same shape same angles but the shape and ___ are is the larger or smaller. With that there is also the possibility of the additional translation rotation and reflection which means they all have the exact same position they can must start up and but there also lot of interesting things.

This is Madeline Vental(?). I read Reflection ___ by Allen Goodman and the work chapter. I thought the selection was very interesting because I ___ Goodman without technology is now consuming our live. Goodman start the essay with examples of mailing a sympathy letter rather than emailing it and today as well they're so focus on how fast and quick we use technology to get things done. Goodman points out that we should take a step back disconnect from technology and that sending a letter that rather than emailing it takes more time but it is the time that counts. It tells the person that you truly care. Goodman mentions how online contact prevents face to face contact at company to prevent this from happening from companies.
