German Army General Egon Ramms, head of NATO Joint Forces Command in Brunssum, Netherlands and thus one of the highest ranking NATO officers for the ISAF mission, did his latest "situational awareness trips" through Afghanistan in late August. Ramms has been to Afghanistan 21 times in his 3 and a half years as JFC Commander, and he is proud to have seen 5 heads of the ISAF mission under his command... At the end of his journey, I asked Ramms about his impressions - and the progress, if any - of his trip. (Interview in German)
