So Digital Champions what are they and how can they make a difference. My name is Nicky Simpson and I'm calling you work for trade union encouraging adults to get back into learning based work and pleasure. Surprisingly there it may seem there are actually 8 point 4M people in the UK who have never used the internet. Around 6M of those people are over the age of 65 and about 4M come from socially disadvantage background. Now imagine how exciting it would be if the 30M people in the UK who do use the internet everyday. People like me and you they have a bit of their time to help someone get online. This is where Digital Champions come in. Digital Champions give their time on a voluntary basis to help others whether that'd be family, friends, colleagues or people within the community. ___ people's exposure to all things digital not just computer as well as build upon.
