Hello everybody this is Bite Monkey in Pensacola Florida. Tonight I tried to log on to early.com(?) and the site was not loading for me. I know there's been problems with the site for quite some time now and I'm wondering if it finally died. Well because of that I decided to scout the web to find another service don't allow me to do audio posts and I found ipadio.com(?) I don't know how long they've been out there I just started and this is one of my first posts and the only difference I can see is that they don't have a way to record your voice from the site and I don't believe it's community oriented. I maybe completely wrong on this but I'm just starting out with the service and I don't really see anything obvious to tell us otherwise. All in all ipadio serves the purpose of me being able to do voice posting from my from my phone. If early comes back we'll give them another shot but for now we're probably using ipadio. Thanks for your time this is Bite Monkey signing off.

Thanks for the post - interesting observation about whether we are community orientated or not. My view (as the founder) is that people's communities already exist - be they in blogger, wordpress, Facebook, Twitter, website or whatever. ipadio.com is therefore a service that can put voice (everso simply) inside existing communities.
Will ipadio.com become it's own communtity? Well maybe though I fear that the content is so very varied (from sermons in synagogues, to commentary on baseball, live from beer festivals or people recording oral history) that the only connection is that it is delivered via a phone (mostly!). So we will be introducing more community stuff soon (followers lists, ability to comment via the phone on others phonecasts etc etc) but I reckon we're more useful to help people like you reach your existing community!

Oh and yes you can add a piece of audio into ipadio direct as an MP3 upload - just login to the site (use your iphone number and pin - or if you registered online your e-mail address and password) and look out for the 'create new phlog' red button under the 'my phlogs' tab which allows you to pick and post any MP3 file you already have.

Cheers, M
