Hello everyone. Love it or hate it, Facebook is a hot topic. Your learners may have strong views about it even if they've never seen it. Perhaps you think Facebook isn't suitable for beginners, maybe they're not ready for the world of social networking. But remember how useful Skype is for bringing people closer? Facebook can do the same - it allows families and friends to share photos and experiences across the world. I remember helping a 99-year old use Facebook for the first time. The first thing she viewed was a video of her great-grandsons, aged about 4, running around at their home in France. Imagine how excited she was! Like anything else your learners need to be informed how best to use Facebook and that means you need to be able to advise them. As well as personal accounts we'll be looking at creating a Facebook Page which you can use to publicise an organisation or project. I hope you enjoy playing about with Facebook.
